CAMP OPENS FOR THE SEASON FRIDAY, MAY 6, 2011, AT 10 A.M. Below are the themes for each 2011 weekend that hillside is open. We'll add specific information once we get closer to the weekend or as soon as we get the information needed to post the event.

May 6 -- 7 Opening Weekend: No campers including Perms should expect to arrive at camp before May 6 at 10 a.m.
May 13 -- 14 Open: An excellent time to meet new and old friends after a long winter.
May 20 -- 21 Uniform Weekend # 1: Do you like men in uniform? Do you like wearing a uniform? This is your weekend. Enjoy the private setting and the men who will surely make this weekend special. May 27 -- 30 Memorial Day Weekend: This holiday is the first big “party weekend” of the summer. The pool is sure to be heated and open. There are many parties including the 2 p.m. Sunday Disco Divas Party at the Rec Hall. The camp will furnish the refreshments. June 3 -- 4 Bears in the Woods Weekend # 1: This weekend is always a big event with hundreds of hairy men and their admirers having fun at this first bear weekend. Get a head start on the bear season and you won’t be disappointed.
June 10 -- 11 Leather / Levi Weekend # 1: With lots of hot leathermen and their admirers spending the weekend at Hillside, what else could one ask for? Cumalot’s first party normally takes place from 9 to 11 p.m. Saturday.
June 17 -- 18 Duck Derby & Country Western Weekend: Bring your country gear and learn to do the two-step and line dances. The evening at the Rec Hall will include Country Western music with disco tossed in for variety. The wacky annual Duck Derby race is Saturday after noon with proceeds going to the Memorial Garden Fund. Plan to spend Father’s Day with your Hillside friends.
June 24 -- 25 Fantasy / Fetish Weekend # 1: Do you have fantasies you wish to live out? If so this is the perfect weekend for you. Or you can observe as others indulge. This is an “excuse” weekend where some, but not all, of the rules are relaxed.
July 1 -- 4 4th of July Party Weekend: This is a really big event weekend with non-stop action including various events including a Stage Show, the annual NNS Party with lots of food and the fabulous Debutante Ball. The holiday weekend would not be the same without the first Stage Show. Show weekend!
July 8 -- 9 Bears in the Woods # 2 & Volleyball Tournament Weekend: The bears and their admirers always have fun during this second of four events dedicated to them. If you want to see lots of men, this is the weekend to set the trap. In honor of this weekend there will be a party Saturday afternoon at the Rec Hall. The Volleyball Tournament returns to Hillside with trophies to the winners. Be sure to sign up. July 15 -- 16 Motorcycle & Leather Weekend: Bikes and leather with fantasy mixed in is the theme for this popular weekend. Got a bike? Ride it to camp to go on the local run (weather permitting). The Mr. Hillside Leather and Hillside Leather Boy contests will take place Saturday with an afternoon party and an evening contest with the announcement of the winners.
July 22 -- 23 Fantasy / Fetish # 2, Wrestling & Hillside Festival of the Arts Weekend: This is going to be a busy weekend. The fourth Annual Hillside Festival of the Arts Show & Sale will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Also, don’t forget the Annual Wrestling Competitions that are taking place all weekend on Site 60. Campers are invited to attend the 8 p.m. 10th Annual Play & Fetish Party at the Hog Ranch. Live out your fantasies on this “excuse” weekend and take home a one-of-a-kind art piece to enjoy all year long.
July 29 -- 30 Village People Party & Car Show Weekend: The Village Circle men will sponsor the annual Village People Party with lots of food and drink. The annual Car Show will take place on the Landing Strip before the cars are showcased at the Village Circle Party.
Aug. 5 -- 6 Illumination Weekend: This must-attend event is not like any other you’ll see at any camp. The weekend, dedicated to Harvey, Hillside’s first bunny, is glowing with candles and lights beginning with the lighting of the Memorial Garden. Campers spend much of Saturday getting their sites ready for the evening’s spectacular light show in the hills of Pennsylvania. Arrive early to get a parking place since this is a very busy weekend. (Please limit electric lighting. No tube / rope lighting because of the camp’s limited electrical supply. Quiet generators are okay for this event.) Aug. 12 -- 13 All Camp NNS Party & Show Weekend: Hillside is a special place and to prove it we are devoting this weekend to special things like the NNS Party with lots of food and fun Saturday afternoon. What type of things will be left up to the campers with the Perms leading the way to a really fun weekend. We hope to section off several areas of camp and have campers in that area do something special at a time Saturday. Times will be announced at camp so arrive early and plan to stay late. Aug. 19 -- 20 Fantasy / Fetish # 3 & Uniform # 2 Weekend: Live out your fantasies on this special “excuse” weekend. Do you like men in uniform? Do you like wearing uniforms? This is your weekend, too. Join the Mid-Atlantic Uniform League for its annual 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Uniform Party at the Rec Hall.The second annual Mad Hatters Party will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Smith Lane. Ask anyone about this hit party.
Aug. 26 -- 27 Bears in the Woods # 3: They’re back. Hairy men and their cubs. Don’t miss the big party at the Rec Hall Saturday afternoon. Other parties will be listed when we have the information from the organizers.
Aug. 31 (Wed.) Annual Cocktail Party: This is a BYOB Cocktail Party where many dress up for this Wednesday afternoon Cocktail Party. It’s a fun event that showcases the Perms as well as the day campers at their best.
Sept. 2 -- 5 Labor Day Weekend: This weekend features an afternoon party at the Rec Hall. Other parties will be listed on the camp’s Web site. Please go there for updates — www.HillsideCampgrounds.com. The season’s last Stage Show is sure to draw a crowd. Show weekend!
Sept. 9 -- 10 Leather / Levi Weekend # 2: More leathermen celebrating the season’s last Leather / Levi weekend. It’s the perfect time of year for wearing leather. Be sure to join Utica Way men for an all-camp party.
Sept. 16 -- 17 Bears in the Woods # 4: This is Hillside’s last bear weekend for the season. We’ve added this weekend because you requested it so we hope to see you at Hillside for the fun that can be the “norm” at the camp. NEW! Sept. 23 -- 24 Tea Dance Party Weekend: An exotic underwear theme with prizes! Join in the fun and you could be the one going home with the cash. Camp closes for the season Sunday, Sept. 25, at 6 p.m.
