All day Saturday the Volleyball Tournament will take place so why not form a team and joint in on the fun and perhaps win trophies for your team. Teams can form as early as you wish and play on the camp court as many times as you wish. Sign up forms will be available at the office and the Rec Hall at least two weeks before the competition. All you need to do is fill it out and be at camp Saturday and Sunday and you could be the pride of your team and the camp. Aug. 3 -- 4

Illumination Weekend:  WOW! The weekend has arrived! If you have talked to anyone about Hillside they probably brought up Illumination Weekend. You have to be at this weekend to explain what it is. There is no duplicate anyplace no matter how hard people try -- and many campgrounds try to duplicate the Hillside event. We will be posting some pictures from past seasons and you will be able to get an idea of what we are talking about. If it can be done with lights then it has been done at Hillside. The only thing we ask is that you do not use rope lighting because of the limited power source that the camp has. The main event is Saturday evening but arrive early to get a good parking spot.

The Memorial Garden set-up will begin Friday at 3:30 p.m.

Lighting is expected to begin at 8 p.m. Friday evening.

If you would like to help set up please meet at the Memorial Garden ready to help at any time after 3:30 p.m. Friday.

We need the following items:

Tea-lights
Taper candles
Tall glass novena candles
Stick lighters
Tin foil
Any type flowers
Rose petals

Donations may be left with Marshall or Shamus at their cabin on Lavender Lane. Manwood will pick up the donations Friday afternoon around 2:30. He will be at the Memorial Garden to set up at 3 p.m.

The Garden is a beautiful place and looks nice lit up with your help. If you have any questions, please e-mail MANWOOD.
