Work at Hillside this summer! APPLICATIONS BEING TAKEN NOW
HILLSIDE IS TAKING APPLICATIONS from good service-oriented men to work at Hillside from late April to early October 2009. The camp is a large place and it takes many people with varied skills to keep it running each season.
If you think you have the qualifications needed to work at a first-class camp, send your qualifications, the time you can work (full- or part-time, being as specific as possible) and phone number to the Webmaster. There is a link below to make it easy for you to send information. We'll be doing the hiring during the winter.
Hopefully everyone will be hired no later than early April but if you find that you need a good job during the summer after that time, please let us know. We never know when we’ll be adding more staff.
Hillside owner Dave hires workers for each season in the following areas:
+ Grounds Keepers + Registration Office Workers + Pool Person + Parking Attendant + Security + Tending Rec Hall fires + DJ to keep campers on the dance floor Friday & Saturday evenings plus Sundays on holiday weekends. The DJ position has been filled at this point.
If you enjoy working outdoors doing those jobs that keep Hillside running smoothly, you're encouraged to apply. With some positions you may receive free summer camp housing along with your weekly salary.
If you can operate a backhoe, it's a plus for at least one person. Be sure to mention your backhoe skills when you send your qualifications.
Jobs offer excellent pay with free camp housing, if needed.
The ideal candidates are gay, service-oriented men, who are able to do quality work without supervision.
Both full- and part-time jobs are available. The full-time candidates must be willing to work every weekend and most weekdays with one or two days off as arranged with the camp's owner. This, too, can be adjusted to the worker's needs and the requirements of the job.
Part-time candidates will be assigned specific jobs depending on their availability and the need for things to get done on a weekly basis.
If you're interested don't wait until camp opens to apply. By then we hope all positions will be filled. Send qualifications now since positions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. You MUST be available all summer to get full-time jobs. Part-time positions will dependin on the job.

We will reply only to those men who send complete information including what skills they have that will help them in the job. It's assumed that all candidate will have good "people skills."

Candidates must be drug free to work in a drug-free environment. Prescription drugs are fine but no illegal drugs of any kind will be tolerated.
