IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO INCLUDE pictures of all the great sites from Illumination Weekend. We have done our best to present pictures to give our audience an idea of what takes place once a year for this special night.

Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make their sites "glow." It was a night to remember -- with or without electricity.

ILLUMINATION WEEKEND 2005 was one of the largest events at Hillside for the season with thousands of men walking the three miles of roadway looking at the glow of lights at one campsite after another.

It's impossible to explain the beauty of this once-a-year glow in the Pennsylvania countryside. You had to be there Saturday evening to experience the wonderland.

It's not possible to post photos of all the great sites on this page but we've included many from 2005 as well as 2004. We've intentially tried to capture the "glow" and "flickering blur."

This was the second year the Memorial Garden was aglow thanks to the organizational skills of Manwood and other Hillsiders. We also had the centerpiece of the huge fire at the Rec Hall burning Friday and Saturday nights.

It was a weekend we'll remember until next year when we relive another beautiful evening at our "cumelot,"

See sites decorated with candles, props and small lights.

Take a 2.3-minutes walk through the Memorial Garden. Compare the Garden during the day with what it looked like Friday evening.

(It takes about 3 to 8 minutes to download the "picture movie" depending on your Internet connection and computer speeds.)

To take the walk click on the top icon at the right to download this QuickTime "picture movie." If you don't have the QuickTime Player or a compatible movie player you may download it free by clicking on the "Q" at the right.

Enjoy!
